Deforestation all over the world has been very rampant in the past few decades. Countries are losing all of their forest areas faster than they can grow a tree. This happened because of the people’s goal to achieve a more urbanized country. Thus destroying the also important wildlife.

Indonesia is an archipelago country with about 17,000 islands each contains lots of forest resources. However, due to the demand of people and promising business opportunities, the government destroyed forests over hundreds of thousands of square kilometers all over the country. The country has overall lost 72 percent of forest and over 40 percent of the forest was completely wiped out.
Nigeria had been a good source of wood fuel and timber expert. This is the reason why logging is one of the most productive livelihoods available for people. Because of these, both legal and illegal logging has been rampant all over the area. This caused massive deforestation in just one decade. Over 55 percent of the forest had been lost in just five years and the annual deforestation rates are getting higher and higher as the years go by. In total, Nigeria had already lost over 90 percent of its forests. This even caused Nigeria to suffer from pollution and scarcity.
Overall, Ethiopia has lost 98 percent of its forest. Aside from the fact that the country lost most of its forest to natural calamities, illegal logging is also rampant in every area. Because of loss of forest, Ethiopia had been one of the poorest countries in the world. It has been succumbing to scarcity and hunger with no natural food available for the people and animals.
International agencies and local governments are keep doing their part to restore the extreme loss of forests in these mentioned areas. However, this will definitely take a long time to restore since the damage is too deep. But luckily, people of these areas are starting to get educated about the importance of trees to prevent any more abuse of the forests.
